The Sierra Club Invites Members to Annual Convention

Since 2010, Aaron Koniak has worked as the regional account manager of SynergEyes, Inc., where he oversees accounts in Santa Barbara, Ventura, and Los Angeles counties. Prior to working at the eye care firm, he was a senior healthcare recruiter for Specialty Healthcare Recruiting, where he found employment for nursing professionals in assisted living and hospice locations. A philanthropic individual, Aaron Koniak supports several prominent nonprofit organizations, including the Sierra Club.

Established in 1892 by conservationist John Muir, the Sierra Club is the country’s largest environmental organization with more than 2 million members. It protects millions of acres of wilderness, helps pass legislation such as the Clean Air Act and Endangered Species Act, and leads efforts to reduce use of fossil fuels.

The Sierra Club has more than 60 chapters nationwide. The Sierra Club California chapter hosts events during the year, with the annual convention as one of the final events of the calendar year. The 2015 event, scheduled for October 10 and 11 in San Luis Obispo County, occurs in conjunction with the California Nevada Regional Conservation Committee’s fall meeting. This allows attendees to meet delegates from across the state and attend workshops pertaining to environmental issues.
